Hi all,

To date we have had 31 responses to our Question of the Week. This
represents slightly less than 5% of our 600+ subscribers. I think
the response has been great, but there are a lot of readers out
there who have not yet responded.  It's easy to do...  here's how;

1) Go to the Question of the Week at the end of this Digest
2) Copy the survey question to an email addressed to

3) Put an X between the brackets [ ] that represent your selection
4) Send the resulting e-mail off to mailto:e-mark@buck.ncia.net

Simple, eh? Remember, the larger the response, the more closely
the resulting statistics will be to reality, so send in yours in
before noon Friday.

All will be compiled and posted to Monday's Digest.

I have a question:

What do you think of Adobe PageMill?

I have not even looked at the product. I still do most of my page
coding manually with a plain vanilla text editor. Dinosaur approach,
yes? I suppose I should look at some of the current generation
of HTML editors to see what's going on. So, it's off to
for some shareware to try out. Would anyone
be interested in reading reviews if I were to write any?

And... if anyone else has any opinions or advice I'm sure we would
all be interested.  Send 'em to the list address;

From: Kurt Schweitzer
Subject: Search Engine Use Survey

A couple weeks ago I started a survey (via the Link Exchange Digest)
attempting to discover which search engines are REALLY used by people to
find things. I received around 100 responses via e-mail, which I compiled by
hand and published in the LE Digest.

I've now moved the survey to my website at
http://www.sunriseconsulting.com/cgi-bin/otfpage/sesurvey.form where anybody
can participate. Once you've placed your vote you can see the results of the
survey so far. Please drop by and check it out - I think you'll find the
results enlightening!

** NEW POST - Mighty Big Thanks ***

From: Phil Doyle
Subject: mighty big thanks

Hi Gary.
Mighty big thanks to all:

By meticulously applying brilliant ideas from generous
thinkers in this list, and with a fortuitious combination
of good luck and great timing, my site comes up #1 in
Infoseek searches for "business training videos"
and #1 in seaches for "digital satellite tv". We hope
to do as well with the 7 other major engines.

What's even better is the exposure is generating sales!
Just this morning, an email order arrived from my site from
a Singapore buyer purchasing a big set of training videos.

So you _can_ make money on the Internet !

Help Wanted:
We want to be among the pioneers of web-based,
pay-per-view for business training videos. We need
someone who will digitize hundreds of 30-minute videos
for distribution via video conferencing (or something better)
who also will manage the pay-per-view accounting functions
of accepting payments, releasing programming and
paying royalties. Know anybody like that?

Philip Stills Doyle
