METEORWRONGS
This was found in the Greenville area of Maine in the 70s. It is attracted to magnets and is very heavy. It is likely vesicular basalt, or some kind of industrial slag.
I had this specimen sliced and the interior shot is below. Interestingly it shows some crystalline structure. I hesitate to call this a Widmanstatten pattern, but it definitely has crystal-like orientations that must have occured during its cooling phase. Click the picture below for a super closeup.
